Team Building in St. Louis

Outdoor Team Building for St. Louis Teams

Not trust falls. Not a scavenger hunt. True North team building puts your group in a real outdoor setting with challenges that require everyone, then slows down to talk honestly about what just happened and what it says about how you work together.

Who it is for
  • Departments and project teams that work side by side but rarely get to know one another outside of meetings.
  • Newly formed or recently reorganized teams that need a shared starting point.
  • Corporate and nonprofit groups in the St. Louis region looking for a day away that is more than a social outing.
  • Teams with mixed comfort levels outdoors, since every activity follows Challenge by Choice.

How we actually do it

The work is built on the same experiential, reflective approach The College School has used with students for decades. Challenges are designed to require real interdependence, so no single person can solve them alone.

Each experience is bookended with structured reflection led by TCS educators. That is where the day turns from fun into useful: the team names what helped, what got in the way, and what they want to carry back to the office.

What to expect

From first conversation to the drive home.

  1. 01 / Before

A short conversation about your team

We start by learning who is coming, what you hope to get out of the day, and anything we should know about your group. Every program is customized.

  2. 02 / Arrival

Meet at TCS, depart for LaBarque

Coffee, introductions, and a short briefing at our Webster Groves campus, then the group travels together by bus to LaBarque Creek.

  3. 03 / On the land

    Experiential outdoor challenges

Facilitated challenges among bluffs, ravines, and streams, with every participant choosing their own level of engagement.

  4. 04 / Reflection

    Guided debrief and synthesis

Facilitators help the group connect what happened outdoors to communication, trust, and collaboration at work.
